SANFORD

SPORTS COMPLEX

The proposed renovations to the Sanford Sports Complex Building reorganized the spaces to create a more efficient use of area. The design increased the usable square footage with minimal impact on footprint through a more effective use of second floor space. A locker room addition was located at the rear of the design to delineate the public and private areas. This addition enabled the front entry to utilize the building’s height by creating a vaulted lobby and gathering space, with access to the wrestling and weight room. This design track led to a more appealing front facade which utilizes the thermal and solar benefits of a south facing frontage.
